美國總統特朗普在記者會上以強硬措辭批評中國處理新冠疫情及香港問題。他宣布，即日起終止和世衛的關係，並指北京推動香港《國安法》是違背《中英聯合聲明》，令香港從「一國兩制」步入「一國一制」，美方將會向損害香港自治的中港官員實施制裁，香港亦不會再享有特殊待遇，美方將不再視香港為單獨關稅區，會全面檢視和香港的各方面關係，包括暫停香港和美國之間的引渡協議、出入口管制及簽證安排等等。
