The U.S. looks weak. Business is falling in line. Protests have been muted. For Beijing, the damage to the city and its own reputation from seizing greater control may be worth it.

今年3月間因武漢肺炎(COVID-19)疫情爆發，中國因而宣布調減國際客運航班政策，但當時美國航空公司已經對中國斷航，因而依當時中國新政策規定將無法飛航中國。

由於中國遲遲未能允許美國航空業者重啟航班，美國因而也宣布禁止中國航班飛往美國，中國民眾立刻受到影響，有趣的是，中國民航局今天立刻在官網公布放寬更多外籍航空飛往中國，且還祭出獎勵措施，若防疫得宜還可以增班。
