 一休宗純（1394-1481）1394年正月初一生。是日本室町時代禪宗臨濟宗的著名奇僧，也是著名的詩人、書法家和畫家。從小就很聰明。「一休」是他的號，「宗純」是諱，通常被稱作一休。乳名千菊丸，後來又名周建，別號狂雲子、瞎驢、夢閨等。他於1481年12月12日（文明十三年11月21日）病故，享年88歲。這可是位傳奇的和尚：自己喝酒吃肉，甚至出入風月場所，甚至78歲時與盲女相愛。

一休臨終遺偈云：須彌南畔，誰會我禪；虛堂來也，不值半錢！
